International AIDS Vaccine Initiative Agreement –Targeted Genetics Corporation and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) entered into an industrial collaboration in 2000, to undergo the development of a vaccine to treat HIV/AIDS. In 2006, we replaced that agreement with a new collaboration and license agreement. Under the terms of the collaboration, IAVI funds development of a vaccine to protect against the progression of HIV infection to AIDS for use in the developing world. Under this agreement, Targeted Genetics has retained exclusive rights to commercialize any product that results from the collaboration in developed countries and rights to use the findings from the program for the development of other vaccines.
